This photograph is taken from a series of shots taken of beaches, mainly in the South-West of England. I love finding pieces of driftwood on the beach and capturing them on camera. This was a real find for me - a great big clump of reeds, which created a completely different atmosphere. It gives a much softer image ... I wonder how it arrived at the beach?

This photograph is taken from a series of shots taken of everyday things, as seen through my eyes. I came across this piece of wood when out on a walk at the weekend and was amazed by the patterns formed by the sap and the contrast of colours.

This photograph was taken during a walk last weekend. I enjoy taking pictures of everyday objects but as I see them. This is the vent on the top of a pill box in a local seaside town in Somerset. I decided to use the roof of the pill box as the foreground.

Conway Falls Close-up.
bq. Here the Conway rushes into an amphitheatre-lie hollow of strongly jointed Ordovician rock. The stream, stained brown by its journey through peat, is divided by a buttress of rock on which you can see the remains of an old salmon ladded which never worked. The new salmon ladder was completed in 1993.

An up-close shot of my dog, i think the photo captures his emotion, and the hint of sepia complimented the photo well.

Coed-y-Celyn Hall is where we stayed in our 2007 visit to Betws-y-Coed and plan to go there many times more. Tracy & Michael Williams, who run the holiday flats at Coed-y-Celyn Hall were excellent hosts and we very informative on all the local hidden beauty spots and walks. Thank you Tracy and Michael.
