One of my favourite pictures of Weston's Grand Pier, which is now sadly no more... :(

Dramatic Clouds Over the New Knightstone Island. This was captured during an pleasant after dinner evening walk.

Weston's Grand Pier on a bight summers day. This is an HDR image, which is a combination of 5 photos that range from +2 overexposure to -2 over exposure. Combine these results in an image that produces a higher dynamic range which better captures details in highlights (ie details in the clouds) and shadows.

Approaching sunset on a warm summers day overlokking Birnbeck Pier

Sunset at Grand Pier Hotel in Weston-super-Mare taken at winter. Again, this is was a technically difficult shot to put together as it comprises of seven shots, which had to be stitched.

Machno Falls, a very well hidden (and un-advertised) fall but well worth a look. bq. An old guide book describes the falls as follows: 'Nature has double been assisted by art for the old mill wheel plays a most effective part in the view.' Sadly the wheel has gone but the shell of the old corn mill is still standing. The clear water of the Afon Machno is turquoise as it falls into the chasm and surges into the cleft below. _Quoted from Walks Around Betwes-y-Coed by Hilarry Kendel and Hilary Bradnam_

Steepholme. This was taken on a very clear day and North Devon and Exmoor Hills can be seen behind Steepholme.

This was taken on an exceptional clear evening in November. The full sized panorama shows North Devon, behind Brean Down. Cardiff can also be seen behind Birnbeck Pier.

Sunset Over The Grand Pier in Weston-super-Mare. Taken in December and captures the lovely light we get at sunsets. Technically this was a difficult shot to put together as it is a stitch of nine photos, taken at different exposures.
